Almost five years since the beginning of Sixième Sens, we are back at the outfitter for a fifth consecutive year. Acquired in 1996 by Michel, Jocelyn, Carol and Maurice, the famous name known to all, Mijocama, was born. The owner welcomed us with open arms from our first visit. We fell in love with this place after contemplating the beauty of the fauna and flora that this little corner of paradise has to offer. Its warm welcome and charming staff will make you want to stay longer.
Peace and quiet, chalets on the edge of the lake, solid and safe boats, incredible quality fishing, what more could you ask for?
Mijocama is located north of Ottawa, just south of Maniwaki, more precisely in Gracefield in Outaouais. Remember that the bass fishing season opens on June 15 this year.
The said peninsula is surrounded by a magnificent lake teeming with pike and largemouth bass. For several years this destination has turned heads, especially the articles and blogs of the famous Patrick Campeau who knows this place very well, popular with bass fishing enthusiasts. Let's not forget that there are several lakes that are very accessible thanks to the portage system. Its small lakes fished by the bravest people to venture there are full of monster fish.
The cry of the loons in the evening will soothe you when you are about to fall asleep. Watch out for the big turtles that roam near the docks and you will have no worries during your stay! Not to mention the water snakes, harmless but a beauty to watch when they move.
