Existe-t-il une lunette de soleil parfaite?

Is there a perfect sunglasses?

Well no, it doesn't exist.

Certainly, the polarized glasses in the field of fishing are definitely the most popular and with good reason.

In this blog, we break it all down.

First, the polarized on a goggle helps to attenuate the rays reflecting off the surface of the water. We find this type of glasses in different shades of colors, namely green, gray, brown, blue and even yellow.

These sunglasses have been treated to minimize the effects of glare and improve contrast perception.

Let's start with the dark-tinted polarized bezel.

You will be able to:

  • Quickly distinguish underwater structures (stumps, seagrass beds, boulders, stranded boat (we really don't want this))
  • Identify the nature of the bottom (rocky, sandy, etc.)
  • Identify a following fish your decoy or that it has moved in its path (follow)
  • Follow your eye lure and know that it evolves well at the desired depth

Before continuing, I must tell you an anecdote.

A very close friend this summer developed a benign tumor in his eye, specifically a pterygium (spare the pictures) .

Ophthalmologists could not tell you where the origin of this tumor comes from but one thing is certain, UV rays are the main cause. Naturally, this tumor is seen a lot appearing in people who practice water sports.

Fortunately to this day, his vision is still as good as before, but now he always has to wear glasses as long as he is exposed to the sun.

We don't talk about it enough, take care of your eyes.

If you're ever curious, find his Instagram right here .

"Yeah okay Jay, but you still haven't explained to me a variation that proves one pair can't do it all."

Patience… It's coming.

The principle is simple: The dark lens in clear weather to reduce reflections and the clear lens in dark weather to capture the light. But beware, dark weather is also synonymous with cloudy weather or a place covered with trees and leafy trees that do not allow light to penetrate.

Without the sun, there is no point in having a very dark lens to attenuate the large light reflections since after all, there is simply no light.

On cloudy, dark and/or rainy days, the best tint available is a yellow lens!

The yellow filter allows to:

  • Clearly define the structures surrounding us
  • Emphasize colors in dark weather
  • Accentuate contrasts

This lens has the effect of letting any type of light pass through the lens without degrading the brightness, unlike the dark lens.

Beyond a shade of glasses to choose from, not only all types of glasses will protect you against UV rays but also from a possible accident. A lure in the face happened so quickly, believe me no one wants to go there.

Ideally, before buying glasses, make sure that they are comfortable, light and that they fit well on your face.

To conclude, I deeply believe that good comfortable glasses remain a personal choice, not all types of tints are tolerated. It is for this reason that it is very important to try it if in doubt.

With that, put down your phone and rest your eyes (once subscribed to our Youtube channel of course) .😉
